Vietminh command

Our next pack of Vietminh, the command one, is nearly there.

It will comprise a bugler, and officer, a wounded on the back of his comrade and a flag bearer

They will now go to the casting asap ;-)

Next to come the MMG team with a SG43 machine gun and the 60mm mortar team. Hopefully they will be out for Salute.

On May 7th 1954, the garnison of the fortified camp of Dien Bien Phu ceased the fight against General Giap Vietminh army after an heroic resistance. So ended an epic struggle begon 170 days earlier with the landing of the first French paratroopers on the site of Dien Bien Phu. Altough not marking the end of the war in French Indochina, this cataclysmic defeat suppressed in most Frenchmen their will to fight. Soon they will be engaged in another bitter conflict in Algeria.

This blog has certainly no claim to be exhaustive on the French Indochina conflict. Rather, it is a collection of bits and pieces of everything that could be useful for those wishing to purchase our new line of figurines, whether simply to paint them or for them to play their roles in a good wargame.
